"Innovative Technology for Deep Earth Mineralogy"

 The 5th Young Earth Scientist Association workshop was held at Geodynamics Research Center of Ehime University on 6-7 September, 2012. The purpose of the present workshop was to have constructive discussion on future prospects for the “Deep Earth Mineralogy” in terms of innovative technology. Thirteen oral presentations were given by young researchers and graduate students from Osaka University, Okayama University, Japan Synchrotron Radiation Research Institute, University of Tokyo, Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan Atomic Energy Agency, Hiroshima University, University of Hyogo and Ehime University. In the workshop, more than 30 participants discussed cutting-edge progress and the future prospects for the “Deep Earth Mineralogy”. The present workshop was also highly meaningful for the young researchers and the graduate students to establish mutual understanding through communication at a meeting room and a reception.
